Upcoming Deadlines

December 2025

  • December 2: Pre-/post-conference workshop proposals for the 2026 Annual Meeting due.
  • December 4: Final proposed Section Budgets due to AAEA Office. (Deadline Extended: December 12)
  • December 4: Section Annual Reports due to AAEA Office.
  • December 4: Tracks Session proposal submissions for the 2026 Annual Meeting due. (Deadline Extended: January 14)
  • December 12: Any additional materials for Executive Board Meeting due (i.e. new section award proposals).
  • December 12: Final proposed Section Budgets due to AAEA Office.

January 2026

  • January 14: Tracks Session proposal submissions for the 2026 Annual Meeting due.
  • January 22: Section Chair appoints 2 Section members as nominating committee for Section elections. Section Chair must notify AAEA Business Office of the appointed members.
  • End of January: Board reviews Track Session proposals. Board’s decisions will be announced in January.

February 2026

  • February 9: Request for Special Events (luncheons, receptions, & dinners) & Business Meetings due.

March 2026

  • March 2: FINAL details for Track Submissions due in Abstract Submission System.
  • March 6: Request for Membership and/or Registration waivers for 2026 Annual Meeting participants due.
  • March 13: All candidate information (headshot and bio) due to the AAEA Office for Section Elections.

April 2026

  • April 15: AAEA Executive Board and Section elections begin.
  • April 27: Reunions & Reception forms due.
  • April 30: Section’s Award form due.

May 2026

  • May 13: All participants of Track Sessions must be current members and must be registered for 2026 Annual Meeting.
  • May 15: AAEA Executive Board and Section elections close.
  • May 20: Section election results distributed to Section Chairs.

June 2026

  • June 2: Deadline for submitting sponsorship information for Annual Meeting event(s).
  • June 2: All catering forms due to the AAEA Business Office.

July 2026

  • July 26-28: AAEA Annual Meeting in Kansas City, MO.
  • July 29: New Section leadership takes office following section business meeting.

Past Deadlines

October 2025

  • October 7: End of August financials distributed to Sections to begin 2025—2026 budget preparation.
  • October 9: Proposed 2026 Section dues due to the AAEA Business Office.
  • October 13: Session allocation finalized by president.
  • October 13: Trust proposals from Sections are due.

November 2025

  • November 3: Abstract Submission System Opens.
