Media & Public Relations

Through Media and Public Relations, AAEA is working to position its membership as a “go-to” resource for decision makers at federal agencies, congressional staffers, funding entities, media, industry, NGOs, consumer groups, other stakeholders, and non-member academics by providing reliable and credible insights on topics related to agricultural economics, applied economics, and economics generally.

AAEA members generate an impressive amount of research on an annual basis. This research can be found in the Annual Meeting presentations; articles published in the journals-American Journal of Agricultural Economics (AJAE) and Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy (AEPP); the open access Journal of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (JAAEA); Applied Economics Teaching Resources (AETR) and in our outreach publication, Choices.  This research covers a broad range of topics.

AAEA's strategy involves two key activities:

  1. Regular distribution of timely AAEA content to the audiences described above.
  2. Educating the membership about how to promote their research
