How can I join AAEA? How do I renew my membership?
You can join AAEA or renew your membership by using our online membership form. You also can print the PDF version of the membership form and fax it to (414) 276-3349 or mail it to:

Can I pay for my membership with a credit card?
Yes, AAEA accepts all major credit cards for all services, including membership.
What is a Section?
I already paid my membership dues; can I add a section membership?
Yes. If you have already paid your membership dues but wish to add a section membership, you can do so by logging in to the My Account section. There you should see a box on the right with a link at the bottom that says "Click here to join/renew additional AAEA Sections". You can also contact the AAEA Business Office at Info@aaea.org or (414) 918-3190.
When does my membership expire?
All memberships are on a calendar year (January-December). You can log in to the My Account section of the AAEA website to find out when your membership will expire.
How do I access the Members Only section of the website?
The Members Only section is now the My Account section. If this is your first time accessing the My Account section, you will need to create an account by using your e-mail address. It is free for anyone to create an account.
How do I update my information?
You can update your information by logging in to the My Account section. You will be able to view the current information on file for you and make make any necessary changes. The My Account section also allows you to change your personal preferences. For example, you may choose if you would like to receive print versions of our journals.
How can I update my preferences regarding print versions of AJAE, AEPP, and The Exchange?
You can change your publication preferences in the My Account section of the AAEA website. You also can update your current contact information, as well as other communication preferences.
How can I get a back issue of AJAE or AEPP?
You can request a back issue of AJAE or AEPP by contacting the AAEA Business Office at Info@aaea.org or (414) 918-3190.
I did not receive the latest issue of AJAE or AEPP. How do make a claim?
You can make a claim regarding a journal that you did not receive by contacting the AAEA Business Office at Info@aaea.org or (414) 918-3190.
When is the Annual Meeting? Where is it going to be held?

How do I submit a presentation for the Annual Meeting?
There are several different types of submissions accepted for the annual meeting. They are submitted during the December and January prior to the meeting. Submission information can be found on the Annual Meeting webpage.
In order to submit an abstract for the 2019 AAEA Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA, you must be a 2019 AAEA member or pay a $25 submission fee. If you are a 2019 AAEA member your account will state that your membership expires December 31, 2019. You can pay the $25 fee or renew your membership in the abstract submission system. It may be more in your interest to become a member; all presenters at the 2019 Annual Meeting must be members.
Does AAEA display employment ads?
Yes. You can view the current employment ads for free on the AAEA Job Board. Each Annual Meeting includes an employment center designed to connect employers with those looking for jobs. You can learn more about both on the Employment page.
How do I post an employment ad? How much does it cost?
- 30-day posting = $200
- 60-day posting = $300
- 90-day posting = $400

The AAEA Trust
What is the AAEA Trust?
The AAEA Trust is the non-profit fundraising arm of AAEA, formerly the AAEA Foundation. Members can influence the direction of AAEA activities by allocating their donations among four support categories. On the How Does the Trust Work page you will find further information on the goals, purpose, structure of the AAEA Trust and how donations will be used.
How can I donate to the AAEA Trust?
You can make a donation to the AAEA Trust by using the online donation form. You also can include donations to the Trust when you renew your AAEA membership. For more information, please visit the AAEA Trust page.
What is an Appreciation Club? How do I start one?
Appreciation Clubs are created to honor a specific person or persons. People are able to donate to the AAEA Trust in their honor. A list of current Appreciation Clubs and information on how to start one is available on the Appreciation Clubs page.
How do I nominate someone to be a Fellow?
Fellows nominations are accepted in the fall of each year. You can visit the Fellows page for more information about the nomination process.
Who is the president of AAEA?
How do I nominate someone for the Executive Board?
Nominations for members of the Executive Board and President-Elect are accepted in the fall of each year. You can find the call for nominations on the AAEA website at that time.
