The 2025 AAEA Annual Meeting Invited Paper, “Sowing Seeds of AI: Cultivating Generative AI Tools in Teaching, Research, and Publishing” will have 4 panelists  to discuss the rapid advancement of generative AI will have as-yet unknown transformative effects for agricultural and applied economics. This session begins to explore these potential effects with a focus on how generative AI tools can enhance research, enrich teaching, and reshape academic publishing. By focusing on actionable insights and ethical considerations, the session contributes to the ongoing development of awareness regarding the use of generative AI in our field. A discussant will synthesize key themes and facilitate audience engagement, ensuring a robust discussion. This timely session promises to inform and provoke a chance for critical reflection among members of the Association.
