AAEA Names New Editor of Applied Economics Perspectives & Policy

Mallory begins new appointment in January 2020

AAEA has named a new editor of the Applied Economics Perspectives & Policy (AEPP). Mindy Mallory from the Purdue University will begin her new role in January 2020.

Managing editor of AEPP, Craig Gundersen says, "We are so happy that Mindy is joining the editorial team at AEPP.  She is an amazing scholar and her addition to the team will enable AEPP to go in exciting new directions."

Mallory says, ““I am very excited to serve the association in this capacity! AEPP has been an integral part of the association’s efforts to tackle important practical issues. I am delighted to do my part to serve this mission!”

Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy aims to present high-quality research in a forum that is informative to a broad audience of agricultural and applied economists, including those both inside and outside academia, and those who are not specialists in the subject matter of the articles. You can learn more about the types of articles AEPP publishes by reading the AEPP Talking Points.

AEPP also provides a free interview podcast with each published issue, keeping you in touch with the latest research on your computer or on the go. All of the podcast episodes can be listened to within your web browser and/or available for download.

Rotating off the AEPP editors after a three-year term is Christopher McIntosh from University of Idaho. If you are interested in setting up an interview, please contact Allison Scheetz in the AAEA Business Office.
