AAEA Invites Media & Press to Attend 2023 Annual Meeting

Experts from around the globe to present research and studies

The Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) invites you to attend our 2023 AAEA Annual Meeting in Washington DC, July 23-July 25 at the Marriott Marquis Washington DC. There are over 900 expert speakers presenting in more than 200 concurrent sessions. It is expected to pull in more than 1200 agricultural and applied economists from around the world. Media and press are invited to attend any concurrent session, or plenary session with a complimentary media registration.

Presentation topics include: food and agricultural marketing, international development in trade markets, and policy, domestic and international effects of climate change, environmental economics and policy, applied risk analysis, extension, regional economics, land, water and environmental economics, among many others.

The Gordon Rausser Keynote Address, will feature Chancellor Robert J. Jones from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Robert Bonnie, Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation on Sunday, July 23, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (eastern) in Salons 6-10.

AAEA President-Elect, Rodolfo Nayga, Jr. from Texas A&M University gives his Presidential Address on “The Looming Demographic Cliff: A Wake-Up Call for the Agricultural and Applied Economics Profession,” happening Monday, July 24, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am (eastern) in Salons 6-10.

Mary Bohman, Retired, Bureau of Economic Analysis will give her Fellows Address on "Making a difference through trusted, high-quality research and statistics" on Tuesday, July 25, from 8:30 am – 9:30 am (eastern) in Salons 6-10.

Jayati Ghosh, from University of Massachusetts Amherst will close out the meeting with her Galbraith Forum on "Hunger and global finance: What is the link?" happening on Tuesday, July 25, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm (eastern) in Salons 6-10.
