AAEA Invites the Press to Attend AAEA Sessions at 2019 ASSA Annual Meeting

Experts from around the globe to present new research and studies

The Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) invites you to attend AAEA sessions at the 2019 Allied Social Science Associations (ASSA) Annual Meeting, happening in Atlanta, GA on January 4 and 5, 2019, at the Hilton Atlanta. Media and press are invited to attend any concurrent session, or plenary session with a complimentary media registration.

AAEA will host two sessions on January 4, 2019 followed by the T.W. Schultz Memorial Lecture & Reception on “The Opportunity Atlas: The Geography of Economic Opportunity in America,” by Raj Chetty from Harvard University. On January 5, 2019, AAEA will have 4 more sessions. Each individual session will have 4 researchers/presenters on a given topic. Topics include, NAFTA, ethics in agricultural and applied economic research, gender gap, pollination, food markets, and crop insurance.

Badges are required for admission to sessions, exhibit hall, and other activities. Media registration may be picked up at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Atrium Foyer. On-Site and Advance Registration Booths will be open as follows:

                  Thursday, January 3…............................... 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.*

                  Friday, January 4........................................ 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*

                  Saturday, January 5..................................... 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
