Employment Center

What is the Employment Center?

The Annual Meeting Employment Center is an online and on-site resource for employers to connect with applicants on specific open positions. Interested employers and applicants must register with the Annual Meeting Employment Center before they can access the online resource, or the on-site location.

Format of the Employment Center

The Annual Meeting Employment Center is not a job fair. It is an opportunity for employers and applicants to discuss specific open positions. After registering for the Employment Center, applicants will have access to all of the open positions submitted by registered employers, and employers will have access to the employment information of each applicant. Based on this information, employers and applicants can connect regarding a specific position.

Scheduling Interviews

All interviews will take place in the Employment Center on-site at the Annual Meeting. To make the most of your time in Seattle, we strongly recommend that interviews be scheduled in advance of arriving at the meeting; however, scheduling interviews on-site is certainly allowed. Please note, AAEA will not be handling the scheduling of interviews.

On-site Employment Center Hours

The on-site Employment Center will be open during the following hours:

  • Orientation: Sunday, August 12, 9:30am

Undergraduate Recruitment Fair

Over 100 undergraduate students will gather at 2012 Annual Meeting to participate in the Academic Bowl competition. These students are trained to apply economic principles to real world problems. You can connect with these students at the Undergraduate Recruitment Fair. Participants will set up tables in the Academic Bowl area and talk with students as they wait for their turn to compete.

The cost is $100 for academic employers and $150 for non-academic employers.

This is a great opportunity to meet bright, motivated undergraduate students who may be a perfect fit for your organization or graduate program.
