What is the Employment Center?

The Annual Meeting Employment Center is an online and on-site resource for employers to connect with applicants on specific open positions. Interested employers and applicants can register for the Annual Meeting Employment Center through the AAEA Job Board.

Format of the Employment Center

Employers will each be provided a table to display their promotional materials. Tables will be arranged similar to a job fair, and employers are welcome to conduct interviews at these tables or move to a more private location within the meeting space.

Scheduling Interviews

All interviews will take place in the Employment Center on-site at the Annual Meeting. To make the most of your time in Chicago, we strongly recommend that interviews be scheduled in advance of arriving at the meeting; however, scheduling interviews on-site is certainly allowed.

On-site Employment Center Hours

The on-site Employment Center will be open:

Registration

Applicants
Applicants should sign up for the Employment Center through the AAEA Job Board. Job seekers will be able to register for the Employment Center while on-site at the annual meeting; however, we recommend registering in advance and scheduling interviews prior to arriving in Chicago. Applicants must be registered for the Annual Meeting in order to participate in the Employment Center.

Employers
Employers are encouraged to register for the Employment Center and begin posting their available positions early. Employers will be able to register for the Employment Center while on-site at the Annual Meeting; however, space is limited to 25 employers on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration includes unlimited job postings and can be completed through the AAEA Job Board.

Employers who are at the meeting only to participate in the Employment Center do not have to be registered for the Annual Meeting. If you plan to participate in other meeting activities, then you must also be registered for the Annual Meeting.

If you have any questions regarding the Employment Center please contact Sarah Kenner (skenner@aaea.org).
