FAMPS Section will host a poster session once again at the 2026 AAEA Annual Meeting. The objective of the poster session is to provide a forum for researchers with more limited professional networks, like graduate students and beginning faculty, to be recognized for innovative and high-quality research in poster sessions. These researchers might be less likely to participate in track sessions, and thus attend the annual meeting, than researchers with stronger professionally networks. This recognition could also be helpful to some researchers at the beginning stages of their career.
FAMPS will provide three awards:
Requirements: The lead author for each submission must be a FAMPS member and must register and attend the 2026 AAEA Annual Meeting in-person. In addition, the topic of the poster should fall within the FAMPS topic area, which is focused on food and agricultural marketing policies of current and emerging significance, in both national and international contexts.
Judging: FAMPS leadership will have three researchers to judge the competition during the lunch break on Monday.
Logistics: The poster competition judging will occur on Monday during the lunch break from 11:30am – 1:00pm in the poster hall. Posters accepted in the FAMPS competition will have a symbol/tag on their poster board.
