What is the Employment Center?
The Annual Meeting Employment Center is an online and on-site resource for employers to connect with applicants on specific open positions. Interested employers and applicants must register with the Annual Meeting Employment Center in order to participate in the on-site Employment Center.
Format of the Employment Center
Employers will have access to a number of tables located in the on-site Employment Center where interviews may take place. Tables will be available on a first come first served basis for those Employers registering at the unreserved rate, while those employers registering at the reserved rate will be provided a table exclusively reserved for their use for the duration of the 2013 Employment Center. Reserved tables are sold out.
All interviews will take place in the Employment Center on-site at the Annual Meeting. To make the most of your time in DC, we strongly recommend that interviews be scheduled in advance of arriving at the meeting; however, scheduling interviews on-site is certainly allowed. Please note, AAEA will not be handling the scheduling of interviews.
On-site Employment Center Hours
The on-site Employment Center will be located in Exhibit Hall B South and will be open during the following hours:
- Monday, August 5, 9:30am–5:00pm
- Tuesday, August 6, 9:30am–4:00pm
- Employer-Reserved Table: $450 (Sold Out)
- Employer-Unreserved Table: $400
- Applicant: $25
Advanced registration for the Employment Center is now closed.
Applicants will be able to register for the Employment Center while on-site at the annual meeting. If you are interested in registering for the Annual Meeting Employment Center, please contact Sarah Kenner for more information. Applicants must be registered for the Joint Annual Meeting in order to participate in the Employment Center.
Employers will be able to register for the Employment Center while on-site at the Annual Meeting. If your organization is interested in registering for the Employment Center, please contact Sarah Kenner. Due to space constraints, we are only able to offer registrations for unreserved tables.
Employers who are at the meeting only to participate in the Employment Center do not have to be registered for the Joint Annual Meeting. If you plan to participate in other meeting activities, then you must also be registered for the Joint Annual Meeting.
How to Post Your Information
Once you have registered for the Employment Center as an employer, you will be directed to post your information in the newly updated Job Board site. The posts will be included in the general online listings; however, those positions that will be discussed during the Employment Center will be identified by EC next to their listing. Employers who registered for the Employment Center will be able to post multiple positions by navigating to the employment page of the AAEA website and using the "Submit a Position" button. Please note that the same account that was used to register for the Employment Center must be used to post the positions.
Once you have registered for the Employment Center as an applicant, you will be directed to post your information in the newly updated Job Market Candidate site. The posts will be included in the general online listings; however, those job market candidates who are participating in the Employment Center will be identified by EC next to their listing. Applicants who have already submitted their information to the job market candidate site need only register for the Employment Center to have their listing identified as an Employment Center participant.
