C-FARE is Here to Help Make Connections

The Council on Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (C-FARE, is very excited about the 2013 Joint Annual Meeting, to be held in Washington, DC. Next year, C-FARE will be celebrating 20 years of service to the agricultural economics profession, and our staff and Board of Directors look forward to highlighting some of the most important ways the profession has contributed to the policy making process over the twenty years.

As the organization representing our profession in DC, we are eager to help connect meeting participants with agency and industry representatives as well as policy makers to develop relationships that will benefit all in the long run.

The DC meeting provides a unique opportunity to include people making decisions about funding and policy priorities as well as representatives of groups working to influence government. In addition, it offers the potential to bring in representatives of agencies who could be potential new partners in research, teaching and outreach endeavors. Please contact our Executive Director, Tamara Wagester, at or 202-408-8522, or one of the C-FARE Board Members if we can be of assistance in identifying potential speakers or symposia participants.

We look forward to many more years of service to the agricultural and applied economics profession!
