JNRLSE Call for Submissions

AAEA invites submission of papers on the scholarship of teaching and case studies to the Journal of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Education (JNRLSE). JNRLSE publishes submitted articles, subject to a double-blind review process, that meet the high quality standards for scholarly publication of teaching methods and the scholarship of teaching in areas such as agriculture, natural resources, and the life sciences.

Submitted articles should accomplish at least one of the following purposes and can pertain to K-12, undergraduate, graduate, or extension education programs:

  • Reports of original research pertaining to concepts of resident, graduate, extension, and industrial education;
  • Analyses and syntheses of existing knowledge or research, instructional techniques and methodology, surveys of instruction, and other studies that contribute to the development or better understanding of educational efforts;
  • Reviews of a comprehensive and well-defined scope
  • Case studies
  • Computer software papers

The JNRLSE is continuously updated online during the year, and one hard copy is published at year-end (December) by the American Society of Agronomy. There are ten cooperating societies that participate in the journal, including AAEA. More information on the journal is available at the JNRLSE website.

Interested authors can submit their papers directly to the JNRLSE. All AAEA submissions to the journal will be handled by an Associate Editor of JNRLSE who has been appointed by AAEA.
