The Exchange

The Exchange is a bi-monthly newsletter published by AAEA for its members. Each issue includes a variety of information about the association, including upcoming events and activities, calls for submissions, and updates on the work of AAEA. It also has updates from other organizations, news from our members' departments, and employment ads for open positions in the profession.

Submitting to The Exchange

Please send all items to be included in The Exchange to Newsletter@aaea.org.

People Section Submissions:
We are happy to include announcements regarding your organization. Simply include the information requested below for the particular category. Please follow the structure provided in order to facilitate the publication process.

• New Appointments (Name and new position)
• Appointment Changes (Name and new position)
• Awards (Name, awarding institution, and award)
• Positions Taken by Recent Graduates (Name, degree, position, and institution)
• Honorary Positions (Name, honorary position, institution, and duration if applicable)
• Returns from Leave (Name)
• Leaves (Name, location, and duration)
• Retirements (Name and years of service)
• Resignations (Name)
• Visitors (Name, home position, home institution, visiting position, and duration)

News and Other Stories:
We will print submitted news items and other stories based on space availability and relevancy to the association. If applicable please submit any headshots, logos, or promotional photos that may augment your story. (Please note that fellowships and other announcements with any kind of stipend or salary will be considered employment ads and charged accordingly.)

The cost to print an ad in The Exchange is $200 for 3 column inches, and $60 for each additional column inch after that. You will be sent an invoice for the cost of your ad once the issue has been published.
