Recently, there has been a significant shift in the most common way for agricultural economists to find a new job, centered around the ASSA Annual Meeting. To help young professionals navigate this confusing environment, AAEA spoke to three professionals with different perspectives on the process: the university perspective, the public agency perspective, and the perspective of a student/recent hire who has successfully interviewed at ASSA. Early Career Networking Reception

The Early Career Development Committee will host an Early Career Networking Reception on Sunday, August 4 during the 2013 AAEA & CAES Joint Annual Meeting. Attendees will include AAEA Fellows, AAEA Executive Board members, representatives from each of the Sections, and other Early Career Professionals. This increasingly popular reception is a great place to connect with a wide variety of AAEA members over light hors d'oeuvres. A cash bar will also be available.
