Getting to the Meeting

Attendees flying to the meeting can use the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP), which is the closest airport to downtown Minneapolis.

The Amtrak is another great option for getting to and from the meeting.

Airport Transportation

There is a wide range of transportation options to and from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

AAEA has partnered with SuperShuttle to help assist with your transportation needs. SuperShuttle is offering discounted rates for all 2014 Annual Meeting attendees. In order to receive the discounted rates, you must book your reservation online. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the lower level baggage claim and collect your luggage.

  • For Terminal 1 arrivals, follow the signs for "Hotel Shuttles and Scheduled Vans" to the SuperShuttle ticket counter located in the center of the Ground Transportation Atrium. The ticket counter is staffed with uniformed Customer Service Representatives, and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • For Terminal 2 arrivals, use the ground-level crosswalk or second-level Skyway to proceed to the Ground Transportation Center, located directly across the street from Terminal 2.

Taxi, limousine, van and shuttle services, and car rental companies all operate at MSP.

Public transportation is available through Metro Transit, which provides both Light Rail Transit and public bus service within the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Jefferson Lines scheduled bus service is also available.
