The purpose of the Review of Agricultural Economics is to provide a scholarly journal for research findings on real world issues relevant to various areas of agricultural, food, and natural resource economics, broadly defined. The editors are interested in publishing articles that are based on sound applied economic analysis relevant for policy and business decision making. Contributions can be based on quantitative or qualitative approaches. Applied analyses based on case studies should rely on rigorous use of qualitative research methods. We also consider submission of teaching/learning contributions that can be used directly in classroom instruction. Published articles are expected to be of interest to applied economists working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, both domestically and internationally. The Review of Agricultural Economics is unique among the scholarly agricultural economics journals as it emphasizes readability and topics of broad interest rather than technical presentations, although all articles are rigorous in nature. Occasionally, the Review publishes survey articles on emerging and important topics. |
