Blackwell Publishing eliminates photocopying charges for academic use

Blackwell Publishing has announced that, effective immediately, photocopying charges for journal articles under the CCC Academic Permissions Service and the CLA Rapid Clearance Service (CLARCS) will be abolished, and any institution with a paid subscription to a journal may make copies of articles from that journal for teaching purposes without charge. Articles may also be scanned for inclusion in electronic reserve collections under the new CLA digitization mandate free of charge.

If you would like to post an article on your personal or class Web site, please note that the paper as published can be posted only if access to the site is restricted to faculty, staff and students of the authors' institution(s). If the site is open to the general public, the author(s) may post a working version of the paper, but not the final published paper.

If you would like to use an article published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics or the Review of Agricultural Economics for teaching purposes, your institution must have an institutional subscription to the publication. If it does, please feel free to reproduce the article without requesting permission. For all other permissions, please contact the Copyright Clearance Center, 222 Rosewood Drive, Danvers, MA 01923; Phone: (508) 750-8400, Fax: (508) 750-4744.
