Programs Supported by the AAEA Foundation

The AAEA Foundation primarily considers funding requests that support its vision and goals:

• Increase membership
• Enhance member involvement
• Expand missions
• Stimulate new fields of activity for AAEA

The Foundation provided support for several activites in 2005-2006:

• Student travel grants to attend the 2005 AAEA Annual Meeting in Providence, the Graduate Student Reception and Case Study Competition, the Undergraduate Student Section dinner at the Annual Meeting
• Leadership outreach to agribusiness programs in Mexico through the Mexican Association for Agribusiness Management (SOMEXAA)
• Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society (AARES)-AAEA Young Professionals Exchange program
• C-FARE, COPAFS, CAST and COSSA activities
• International Banquet Speaker for the International Section of AAEA (Franz Fischler, Member of the European Commission responsible for Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries)
• Paul Barkley's AAEA History Reconnaissance Trip
