Chester O. McCorkle Jr. Student Scholarship
Call for Applications

The Foundation Endowment Committee is accepting applications for the Chester O. McCorkle Jr. Student Scholarship.  This scholarship will support a graduate student working on applied research on economic issues relating to agriculture. The scholarship, which is expected to be approximately $2,000, provides funds to be used for tuition and program-related expenses such as fees, books, supplies and equipment, provided the items are required of all students in the program.  Applicants should submit: (1) a description of the proposed research (maximum of 5 pages); (2) a letter of support from their major advisor; and (4) a graduate transcript.

Applications are due Oct. 5, 2007, and should be submitted electronically to the AAEA Business Office at foundation@aaea.org. Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation Endowment Committee, who will make a recommendation to the Executive Board.  Applicants will be notified by the end of January.
