A Section is a sub-group of AAEA members with an interest in a specific area of agricultural and applied economics. AAEA currently offers 17 sections that members can join.
Yes. If you have already paid your membership dues but wish to add a section membership, you can do so by logging in to the My Account section. There you should see a box on the right with a link at the bottom that says "Click here to join/renew additional AAEA Sections". You can also contact the AAEA Business Office at Info@aaea.org or (414) 918-3190.
All memberships are on a calendar year (January-December). You can log in in to the My Account section of the AAEA website to find out when your membership will expire.
The Members Only section is now the My Account section. If this is your first time accessing the My Account section, you will need to create an account, which you can do using your e-mail address. It is free for anyone to create an account.
You can update your information by logging in to the My Account section. You will be able to view the current information on file for you and make make any necessary changes. The My Account section also allows you to change your personal preferences, including whether you would like to receive print versions of our journals, for example.
You can change your publication preferences in the My Account section of the AAEA website. You also can update your current contact information, as well as other communication preferences.

There are several different types of submissions accepted for the annual meeting. They are typically submitted during the December and January prior to the meeting.
Yes. You can view the current employment ads for free on the AAEA Job Board. In addition, each Annual Meeting includes an employment center designed to connect employers with those looking for jobs. You can learn more about both on the Employment page.
Each online employment ad will be displayed for two months for a fee of $300. To post an employment ad, please visit the AAEA Job Board.
Employment ads already included in the AAEA Job Board can be included in The Exchange for an additional $100 fee. You will have the option to have your ad included in the The Exchange when you submit your ad.
The AAEA Trust is the the non-profit fundraising arm of AAEA, formerly the AAEA Foundation. Under the AAEA Trust, members can influence the direction of AAEA activities by allocating their donations among four support categories. On the How Does the Trust Work page you will find further information on the goals, purpose, and structure of the AAEA Trust, and how donations will now be used.
You can make a donation to the AAEA Trust by using the online donation form. You also can include donations to the Trust when you renew your AAEA membership. For more information, please visit the AAEA Trust page.
Appreciation Clubs are created to honor a specific person or persons, and allow people to donate to the AAEA Trust in their honor. A list of current Appreciation Clubs, including information on how to start one is available on the Appreciation Clubs page.
Fellows nominations are accepted in the fall of each year. You can visit the Fellows page for more information about the nomination process.
The current president of AAEA is Richard Sexton of the University of California, Davis. For the names of former presidents, you can consult this list of AAEA Past Presidents.
Nominations for members of the Executive Board, including President-Elect, are accepted in the fall of each year. You can find the call for nominations on the AAEA website at that time.
