Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE)

Each year, the AERE summer meetings are held jointly with the AAEA Annual Meeting. These meetings feature a number of sessions (usually six). Founded in 1979, AERE was established as a means of exchanging ideas, stimulating research, and promoting graduate training in resource and environmental economics. AERE currently has nearly 800 members from more than 30 nations, from academic institutions, the public sector and private industry. Their interests range from traditional environmental and natural resource economics, to issues in agricultural economics, public health, energy, and transportation.
