Employment Center
EMPLOYER INFORMATION
What
is the AAEA Employment Center?
The AAEA Employment Center is a unique opportunity for employers
and job candidates to conduct interviews conveniently on-site during
the AAEA annual meeting. This service has been invaluable through
the years for both employers and candidates.
How
Does the Employment Center Work?
Information
about the job seekers is available to registered employers via our
Web site. You are free to contact candidates that you are interested
in talking with in Long Beach and schedule interview times. In the
meantime, registered job seekers are looking at your information
and are able to contact you to schedule an interview. Once you arrive
on-site, you will check in at the Employment Center. All of your
interviews will be conducted at the Employment Center. Once on-site,
information will be available in the Employment Center via paper.
There will be no computers provided in the Employment Center. The
information, however, will be left up on the Internet, so if you
have your own computer on-site and have Internet access, you will
be able to continue to access the information electronically. Scheduling
on-site will be done on a Bulletin Board.
How
Much will it Cost?
Both options below allow you to submit unlimited job vacancies:
$300 - Unlimited access; skirted table and three chairs
$400 - Unlimited access; private curtained booth
Unlimited access allows you total control over the table or booth.
Many
employers return to the AAEA Annual Meeting Employment Center year
after year. Why? Because there is no more cost effective way to
interview a group of highly qualified candidates; students and new professionals who
can immediately put their knowledge to work on your behalf.
When
and Where is the Employment Center?
This
year’s Employment Center will be at the AAEA Annual Meeting, July
23-26, 2006 in Long Beach, California. The Center opens on Sunday,
July 23, 1 pm and stays open until 6 pm. It is open during the day
on Monday and Tuesday from 8 am to 6 pm. The Employment Center will
close on Wednesday, July 26 at 11 am. You
may schedule as many interviews as you would like while the Center
is open. There will be a short orientation session at noon on Sunday,
July 23.
Do
I Need to be Registered for the AAEA Annual Meeting in Order to
Participate in the Employment Center?
Employers who come to the meeting solely for the
purpose of participating in the Employment Center do not need to
register for the AAEA Annual Meeting. Employers who would like to
participate in any other activities offered at the AAEA Annual Meeting
do need to register
for the Meeting.
How
Do I Sign Up for the AAEA Employment Center?
